Run for Tori

Hi! This is Mary Foster, Warner Grubbs, Piper Leinbach, and Jim Chrisitan. We are students at RJ Reynolds High School and have organized the 5K/1 mile walk.

We have planned a 5K/ 1 mile walk known as "Run for Tori" The event will take place at Wake Forest University on April 30. Run For Tori is in honor of Tori King. At 9 weeks old she was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, which spiraled on a path of two liver transplants and multiple life-threatening infections by the age of 10. We are donating to the American Liver Foundation, Donate Life America, and the Wake Forest Baptist organ center. Tori is alive and well thanks to organ donors. Our mission is to educate the general population on the importance of organ transplants, opening their eyes to the idea that by giving so little, somebody else gains so much. We are hopeful that this message bears enough weight to inspire people to be organ donors, galvanizing them to take action to help save lives such as Tori King.
