Who We Are
For 22 years, we have operated as an all volunteer organization. We usually have about ten people who come to help on one of our three work times per week. Our volunteers are usually from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area although we also have volunteers from other counties in NC, and other states.
We grow about 20 different vegetables and have raised beds as well as "in the ground" crops. In addition to serving those challenged by hunger, we beleive in sustainable practices, creating community and educating people about growing food. You do not have to have any gardening experience. Our leaders guide activities.
What We Do
Our mission is to increase food security by growing fresh produce. We have two acres with three fields and a raised bed section. As an all volunter organization, we work together to grow fresh produce for Second Harvest Food Bank and Samaritan Ministries both of which serve the underserved population in our area.
